One of the aspects of Living in Balance and Walking in Beauty is being able to connect to living in one’s body pain free. When we learn how to walk and live in our bodies in a pain-free, feel-good way, we can begin to explore our balance with everyone and everything around us. Exploring one’s troubled areas can be a daunting venture, unless done while tapping into the support, comfort, and internal resourcing, of our breath and grounding. Unraveling stress, exploring holding patterns in the favourite stress reservoirs for today’s generation - Hips, Shoulders, Neck, Core and Low Back.  Learn to explore and feel for what we hold in these areas and what needs to change in order to heal these areas. Below is Part 2 of this series.

LIVE IN BALANCE, WALK IN BEAUTY - PART 2:

The gut, the home for the Enteric Nervous System, which serves as our second brain, absorbs and responds to life’s stresses. This second brain responds to situations even before our primary brain, yet we are largely unaware of its responses. There is also a direct correlation between the gut and the back.

Connect to the Core, Heal your back - Dec 15, 10 am - 1 pm
We will:

  • Explore tension in the core and each section of the back using therapeutic, healing backbends.

  • Connect to chronic anxiety and/or emotional holding patterns in your back and gut. Identify core beliefs that live and originate in this area of the body.

  • Learn how to explore the back while maintaining the stabilising forces of grounding and create space around the core and the diaphragm to free the breath.

  • While exploring the back and opening the front of the body, learn to listen to what your heart really needs to find Balance and Beauty.

Exploring deeper into the core - Dec 15, 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm

This workshop can be taken as a sequel to the morning workshop. Bring journal and pen to write.

  • Mindfulness and partner exercises to explore how our core beliefs affect our bodily holding patterns

  • Learn how to rewire holding patterns

  • Pranayama, All-levels physical practice and a deep, rejuvenating yoga-nidra to integrate the day’s experiences
